Award-winning Chef Carrie Anderson is the Executive Chef for University Housing Dining Services at the University of Illinois, where she has been crafting innovative menus and feeding thousands of students for over 20 years. Passionate about sustainability, she prioritizes sourcing local ingredients and materials while staying up-to-date with current culinary trends to create diverse, high-quality dining experiences.
Beyond the kitchen, Chef Carrie is an active social justice advocate, both on campus and in the local community. A proud mother of four, she is dedicated to making a positive impact through her work, ensuring that food not only nourishes but also brings people together. Her expertise and creativity have earned her regular features on WCIA’s Ci Kitchen, where she shares her culinary journey, recipes, and expert tips.
